Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam (and my New Year's Goals)

Well, it happened. I am now officially the mom of a kid in Primary. It was fun for me being actually in Primary to get to witness how it went. Connor was so excited. He especially loved singing time, but I think he had a hard time with the whole reduced freedom of movement thing. He kept trying to shoot webs at his teachers like Spiderman, poking his buddy Ryan, and jumping up out of his chair. Fortunately, he had a good view of me, so I was able to give him some guidance. :) It should be fun to continue to watch him.

Otherwise, it was just back to the grind for us this week. I started back to work on New Year's eve (ugggg) and Jake started his last semester of Dental school (YEAH!). We start up with preschool again this week, which Connor is very excited about. He loves it.

A funny picture of Ellie Jake took while I was at work. She loves food, that girl.
Jake giving our son some refinement and showing him how to enjoy an Oreo. Nothing says "cultured" like a shot like this. :) (I love you, baby).
Now, on to my goals for this year:
1. The usual: Get back to my pre-baby weight before we have another baby.
2. Survive our move. (already working on that).
3. Stick to a budget. I am great at making them, making spreadsheets, you name it. It's the practical applications I struggle with. I am very good at justifications. :)
4. Count my blessings. find something every day to be grateful for.
5. Play with my kids every day and not get so caught up in housework or whatever else. There will never be another 3 year old Connor begging me to play trains with him or a 15 month old Ellie to chase and tickle.
6. Encourage Connor to be more independent. Help him work on cleaning up his room on his own, getting dressed on his own, etc.

Yea for primary! Laura's a new little Sunbeam too, her eyes get all big when she comes in, I love being in there too, what a blessing! And those shots of Jake and Connor made me giggle out loud, two little boys eating oreos. classic! Those are great goals, stick to 'em!
