Vagabonds no more

Our two month move is finally complete. My parents and little sister were gracious enough to make the drive to Seattle with me to help us get settled, and we left on Sunday. We drove to Spokane that night and Seattle the next day, making frequent stops for the little bodies in the car (well, the littlest body, really. The bigger little body was fine as long as there was a good DVD on). It's nice that we can drive home, but it's a pretty long drive. We get to do it again this weekend- we're going back to Idaho for Jake's brother's wedding. I think with enough Benadryl, the kids will be fine :).The kids had fun playing at a gas station in Eastern Washington

"You're really making me get back in my car seat?!?"

Our apartment in Seattle. Amber's giving her approval for our box stacking technique. We've spent most of the week since Monday getting settled, but we have had time for a few other activities:

My dad was building us some shelves for above the washer/dryer, and Connor kept insisting on building a birdhouse. We didn't get to it while Grandpa was here, but the boys started it this week. It's a work in progress.

Ellie had a random fever on Thurs/Fri (no other symptoms besides lethargy). I found her asleep in some pretty interesting places, like the foot of the stairs. .

and the living room. This was at 10 am!!

We now have TWO patios (yay for outdoor space!!!) so we decided to celebrate by using our rarely used Grill and making some Shishkabobs. It wasn't the same without the Hardy's and lots of Italian dressing, though. :)

We went around to some different Garden centers yesterday getting some plants for the deck. It was in serious need of some green. We went to this awesome nursery in Woodinville, WA called Molbaks. It was really fun to just walk around. Connor got to pick out some plants for the planter boxes he made as part of a preschool field trip. He loved getting to come home and play in the dirt!!

"Mom, how many pictures do you need to take?"

Some of our finished products

This is my favorite- a Cezanne Clematis. It's specifically bred for patios, so it doesn't get very big. It just makes me happy to see it, and it smells really good, too!

Sibling rivalry

It's really nice to be in our own place again. We're enjoying the beautiful Seattle summers, and there's a lot to do here. We get to go to a Mariner's game tomorrow with the other Ortho residents, so it should be fun!

Congratulations on making in to Seattle! I hate moving, i'm sure you're looking forward to not packing again for a few years. I love your clematis too, it really is beautiful-i'm hoping to put them along my back fence for next year.

Hey Abby! It's Lindsey Cox. I decided I'd comment so you'd know who was looking at your blog from Russia. I'll send you an invite to my blog.

Yea for finally being settled. I hate that transition time between moves. Your family is so cute!
