4th of July

We had a fabulous 4th! I got home after working a night shift (I wanted the time-and-a-half without having my 4th tied up!), then we went to our ward's pancake breakfast. We then came home and Jake got to watch our little "firecrackers" while I slept, after which we went to a BBQ at a park with some of our friends. We came home, lit some sparklers, watched the Condon/Robinson legal fireworks show with a few "illegal" South Carolina fireworks thrown in for spice by the Smiths. Connor was pretty scared at first, but thought they were pretty cool by the end. Jake and I then got kids to bed and watched the fireworks from our living room window. We had very tired babies and were really glad we had the view we do! Anyway, here's some fun pictures of our day:

Ellie. . .cute Ellie. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a little obsessed with her having hairbows, so I made her a blue and white polka dotted bow to wear with her striped shirt. She looked so darn cute, If I do say so myself!

Connor at our ward's bike parade. He didn't ride his bike as much as walk beside it, but I think he still had fun. He's still not totally sure how to brake, and gets scared when he gets going too fast!

Umm. . . I think I'm patriotic? Or am I trying to put a patriotic thought into my pensieve?

Our family at the church for the ward breakfast. Man, Laura Mercier concealer does a great job of hiding those under-eye bags! You can't tell, but I was about to fall asleep standing up in this pitcure!

Connor with his sparkler. . . .after about 4 attempts by us to get him to hold it. He wasn't so sure about this!
