The longer I am the mother of a little boy, the more I appreciate structured athletic activities. Connor gets a lot of pent-up energy, which if not expelled outside playing fort, finding sticks, running through sprinklers or such, seems to manifest itself by me finding him jumping from couch to couch in my living room. Rather than have him risk life and limb on my furniture, we signed him up for a soccer league that started last week. It's been a good thing. :) He had his first game on Friday night, and while he spent most of the time biting his nails (which he's never done before, but somehow found very interesting during his game) or perfecting his moonwalk and other dance moves, he had a great time and even played a little bit of soccer. Here he is being goalie (one of the few pics without his hands by his mouth!)

He got some congratulatory hugs from Ells after the game, which surprisingly he didn't seem to mind at all

Ellie came up to me on Saturday morning crying. I asked he what was wrong, and she told me "Connor says I'm having a bad hair day." She kept crying until we fixed it. Personally, I think her bedhead is rather endearing!

Jake and I went out for the "last supper" last night- our last big pre-baby date. Yes, I know it was the general RS meeting, but my back can only handle so much time in the church benches at this point, so I opted to DVR the meeting and go out with my hubby. I think the universe must be realizing how sick I am of being pregnant, because this was the fortune cookie I got at dinner last night. Pretty appropriate!! :)

Really Abby? You're sick of being pregnant? :) What if that fortune has already occurred? Like, you got out of bed this morning, right? That in and of itself is a reward! :)
Ellie is such a diva! I love that little story....such great blackmail material for later in life! I hope that this is the week we finally get to meet baby #3!! Make sure Jake posts something while you are busy recovering ok??
