Aren't they pretty?
On an even better note,
JAKE IS DONE WITH BOARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He got back last night, and we had a tense few hours this morning when he realized he'd forgotten to get something initialled this morning- not good since that could have made him fail. Luckily, the exam was still going on, and he managed to get a hold of someone who was still up in Richmond who was able to get an examiner to initial it. Very close call, but it ended fine.
The kids and I just hung around at home while Jake was gone (we didn't have a car, so that was part of the reason:) ). Fortunately, the weather was nice, so we went on lots of walks and spent lots of time outside at the playground. It was pretty relaxing and made me even more excited than I already am to be done with work. 5 weeks from Wednesday, I'll be done. . . so close. . . .
And now, these pictures are for you, Abby, in response to your last post about keeping your cool. Another thing I do, especially if it involves messes, is to take a picture and start planning my blog title or scrapbook page layout. It does wonders. ;) Here are some doozies that Ellie blessed me with this week:
Mentholatum on the keyboard. Now, when I type, my sinuses feel amazingly clear.
Followed by Eucerin cream on Connor's pretend keyboard. . . no more dry hands for this typist!!

Your posts always make me giggle so much! I read Connor's conversation to Kyle and he was cracking up. You are making us want kids of our own!!!
That was the funniest conversation! My kids say funny things, but Connor's got them beat this time. Where did he come up with an Easter squirrel? Gotta love it.
He has a good point. I wonder what kind of strange animal will be lurking around our abode Easter morning.....Maybe an Easter cougar?
Thanks Abby! Your blog is always good for a breather, it really does help to read about the crazy things that other kids do too.
