Working Woman

We survived. I'm tired, but we survived. I'm so glad that I don't have to do that every week. I was so tired by Friday after a week of being at work every day at 7:45 I really had to fight to stay awake in my classes on Friday. I'm excited about the job- I think it will be a great place to work. I have more classes tomorrow, and then my first REAL shift on Tuesday night. . . and then a couple of days of freedom. The worst week is over!
I know that the Lord has been helping us out this week. Yes, I've been tired, but I've never felt overwhelmed and have been amazed at how smoothly this week has gone. I think we've been blessed with an extra measure of peace this week that I'm so grateful for. I was really nervous leading up to it, but I know I had a lot of help getting through it.
I don't think I've ever been as grateful for a weekend as I was with this one. It was so nice to just get to spend some time with my family and not have to get up early! We had stake conference this morning, which was a nice spiritual recharge. We had protesters related to Prop 8 outside the church building as we arrived, with signs saying "Mormons are h8ters" and "respect all families." I've never attended Stake Conference under protest before, so it was kind of interesting. I'm so glad that the ballot measure passed. It's becoming more and more evident that families are under attack, and I think it's wonderful to have some kind of safeguard against it. The sad thing is, I know the issue is far from being settled. The adversary doesn't give up easily, does he?

I didn't know that there were protests in Washington too! It's so bizarre.
Congrats on finishing your orientation! YAY!

Yay for one week down! Glad to hear all went well this past week. May you have all the strength you need in the days to come. :)

That's crazy you had protesters at stake conference. Weird. I must say, the "Family h8ters" was pretty clever, but sorry to say, it just isn't true. To each his own, I guess.

I'm excited for you! And glad you made it through the week too. I hate hospital orientations, some classes are so pointless. Crazy that you had protesters. I found a same-day surgery job, no weekends or holidays! Then I get to go back through orientation too!
