We had a preogressive dinner last night with Hardys, Robinsons, and Stevenses to celebrate Valentines. It doesn't get much better than yummy food and good company!! We finished up here for dessert and a little Karaoke Revolution. Jake and Matt did a smashing rendition of "Take on me" while Lizzy and I attempted to sing "Crazy in Love." I'm definately no Beyonce!! It was so much fun! We ate this wonderful confection of mine (ok, so I used Martha Stewart's Baking Handbook)- Devil's Food cake with Mint chocolate ganache frosting. Here is a picture of my creation to show you how close I came to the domestic diva herself:
Yes, those are fresh mint leaves on top with handmade chocolate leaves! A little time intensive, yes, but it made me feel oddly fulfilled. That is the platter from my new dinnerware you see under the cake. Yay for sales at Kohls!!
One other fun toy I got this weekend - a label gun! Who knew labeling things could be so much fun?! I reorganized Connor's toys this weekend, and now he has organized toys in labeled bins. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I did that!
