What we've been up to!

Well, despite my good intentions I've been a slacker again. Maybe now that we actually have a home computer (not just Jake's school laptop) I'll actually be able to keep on top of my blogging when the kids are down. Anyway, here's a few pictures of what we've been up to :
We were getting Ellie ready for church, and she was just looking awfully cute in her onesie and bow. She's demonstrating her favorite pacifier for y'all.

Daddy Dog pile!
Connor just hamming it up. You can see the nice cowlicks that are developing on the sides of his head if his hair gets too long!
Jake and I got to go to Atlanta (kid free!) for two nights to attend a dental conference he was getting a scholarship at. We stayed at the Westin Peachtree- the tallest hotel in America - on the 42nd floor. This was the view from our hotel room. The kids were at home with the Hardys, where Ellie celebrated mom and dad being gone by coming down with the stomach flu.

Jake with his nifty "I am now a certified braniac" plaque

We got a beach house on the Outer Banks with the Woods, Robinsons, and Condons for Spring Break. Lots of fun. The kids had fun (Mya and Connor are enjoying the patio here), the wives had fun, and the guys especially had fun playing James Bond on Nintendo 64 past midnight every night.

Us at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Ellie was still suffering from stomach flu and had thrown up in the Visitor's Center just before this shot, so that's why she's not looking too chipper!

Jake and Connor building a sandcastle.

The Wright Brothers Memorial

Ellie at the beach. She was now over her stomach flu and enjoyed the sand and surf!

I can't believe I'm doing this. . . I can't believe I'm doing this. . .I can't believe I'm doing this! Yes, that really is me. . .in a swimsuit . . in all my postpartum glory. . .don't be surprised if this picture is off in a couple of days. It just means I came to my senses.

Ellie is now enjoying "solid" foods. She's treating her palate with rice cereal here.

We made Easter sugar cookies to keep Connor entertained during Conference this weekend (wasn't it good?!?). He had a lot of fun with the flour!

Ellie and Dad enjoying a little snooze between Conference sessions.

So, there's the picture journey of our last 6 weeks. We've been pretty busy. That just seems to be the way it goes, though! Tune in for more!

That celebrity look a like page is funny. We looked at mine and Ryan's, they had a couple of women on Ryan's list, he didn't like that.
