The creativity's just not flowing this week. I must have used it all up on my blog header. :)
Anyway, we had a great week. Jake had MLK day off on Monday, so we went to a few Tarheel eateries that we've been wanting to try out but haven't yet. It's funny how you can live in a place for 3 1/2 years and not try out some of these places until you know you're leaving. . But we did have a good time. Our day started with breakfast from the famous:
On our way home we stopped at Fearrington Village for a quick visit to the Oreo cows. . .
. . .and other assorted farm animals. This friendly goat bonded with both Connor and Ellie. Ellie would just go up and look at it then start giggling to herself. It was the funniest thing.
Alright, so look at this picture, then look at the one above it. Notice anything different? Yup, I chopped about 5" off my hair on Wednesday. It was just time for a change. I'm loving my new 'do (and the shorter blow-drying time)! Thanks a billion, Laura!

Hi Abby! I saw your comment over on Heather's blog. I know we don't really know each other well, but I wanted to tell you that I think your haircut looks great! I'm planning on chopping mine off in the next couple months to donate it. I can't wait to have less hair to deal with!
Looks good! I noticed that you shrunk your background again! I like it!
Wow, you guys do have some fun places! I noticed one particular thing, like the mother that I am, Ellie isn't wearing a bib. Not that that's terrible, but she's wearing a white shirt and eating ketchup! you are a brave woman abby d.
