Should have practiced more. . .

4

Jake and I were able to go see a concert last night on the UNC campus featuring - Abby, you're going to hate me- Pinchas Zuckerman and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It was awesome. They played Beethoven's 7th Symphony and The Beethoven Violin Concerto in D Major. Every time I go to a concert like that, though, it makes me wish I had worked harder when I was taking violin lessons. I miss playing in concerts as part of a group. Maybe someday I'll be able to play in a community orchestra.
Now, we get to look forward to (you're REALLY going to hate me now, Abby) Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, and Acadamy of St. Martin in the Fields. Should be fun, and you definately can't beat the ticket price. . . $10 a pop for students!!!

I do hate you. But I know what you mean about practicing more. We went on Saturday to see the Utah Symphony and the Katchaturian Violin Concerto and I came home almost more depressed than excited. But oh well, we love what we do right? right?

I have felt that way before too. You should see if there is a community orchestra in your area. I am in one (similar to the IF Symphony) and I love it. It's a great way to keep me playing. --Harmony
