Our trip!!!!!

As I mentioned in my last post (sorry i didn't blog last week - I was working!!), Jake and I went to Seattle to find a place to live while our kids stayed home and played hide and seek with Grams. We had a great time and are VERY excited for Seattle after visiting there. Living in a real city will be a new experience for us, but what a fun city it is!! We were only there for 2 1/2 days, but had a great time. Thanks Jeff for being our tour guide - and for introducing us to Cactus. That is the BEST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Amazing drinks and desserts. . . my mouth is drooling right now just thinking about a Lavender Sour and Bananas Dulce. . . .oh my yummy. . . . Anyway, here's the pictures of the sights we saw in between looking at rentals, since I know that's why you're all here anyway. The UW campus is unreal. We're excited to be living there!!
"Red Square". That building is the Main Campus LIBRARY. How gorgeous is that?!?!
The Quad. The Cherry trees you see are actually in the shape of a "W".
Us downtown with the Puget sound in the background.
The Pike's place Flower market. I know the fish market is the most famous, but this was my favorite. Shock, I know. :)

Me and the Honey. The camera batteries died right after we took this picture, so I don't have any more. :(

Anyway, Jake and I decided that we're going to chance the wait with Student Family housing. We found one off campus we loved, but the price was too much to stomach. Student Family housing is not the nicest, but they do have 3 bedroom apartments, are townhouse style, and do have a little patio. It's really nice to be in a community of fellow students, too. The main reason though is the price- 1/2 of anywhere else we looked!! Seattle rental prices-Eesh! So, we'll be camping out at our parent's houses for probably a month while we're waiting to get in. We really feel like it will all work out just fine. Worst case scenario, we don't get in and end up renting an off campus townhouse for $1600 a month. . . oh my. . .
