Tutti- Tutti One

Well, it happened. My daddy turned the big 5-0. It was really fun for the kids and I to be here to help him celebrate. True to my dad's style, he insisted that he didn't want a big party- just the normal German Chocolate cake.

We tried our best to keep busy and distract ourselves from missing Jake. We did play dough, went on walks, and played in the sprinklers. We've been enjoying the nice weather and are very glad that we're here with Grandma and Amber to keep us company. :)

Yesterday we took a drive up to Driggs to see my brother's "graduation" from Cedar Badge. When we got in the car, Connor asked us how far it was. My mom said about 50 miles, and Connor thought for a minute and said "No, it's tutti-tutti one miles." I guess distance really is relative to a 4 year old after all. :)

While there, the kids had a ball playing in all the wildflowers

My cute flower girl. She decimated this flower right after this shot was taken!

"Is anyone watching me? No, I'm not picking another flower. I'm, er. . "

So, there's a snapshot of our week. We're anxiously awaiting Jake's return this weekend. Only 5 more days (or tutti-tutti one days, if you ask Connor)!

Love the patriotic look! Ellie's hair is growing like crazy. I love it! I miss having her knock on our door. Hope your separation from Jake goes by very, very quickly.
