My 4 year-old, the diet nazi

Yesterday, I was sick of Easter candy. So, doing what any self-respecting woman would do, I made brownies. Yummy chewy brownies with fudge frosting. Anyway, I gave the kids one last night for dessert after they ate all their dinner. Connor wanted another, but Jake and I talked about healthy food and briefly mentioned how eating too much candy and sweets can make you fat. Today, we had a few left over, and I grabbed one on my way outside to take the kids to the playground (I felt purely justified- I did go to an hour long step aerobics class today, and the baby REALLY likes brownies), and gave the kids each a little bite. Connor looked at me all serious, then said," Mom, I think you look a little bit fat because you ate more brownie than I did." Way to boost my self-esteem, buddy.

I'm the first! Yay! It was sooo time for another Connor-ism! Love that kid. I would like a brownie. Also, I think I ate 5 choco-peanut butter rice krispy treats today. And although my baby probably likes them, she's not taking nearly as much of them as yours is. Drat. You're totally justified. Please eat one for me too since I did not do any step aerobics.

That connor, he's a quick one! I'm impressed you are still conquering your aerobics classes with a baby inside! THAT'S impressive, you totally deserved a second brownie.

The funny thing is, I DID only have one. I just happened to have a bigger one than he did!

Haha, this story made me laugh. Does he know you're going to REALLY fat? Yes! We'd love to play next week, finally my kiddos are well and if we can get it together we're putting the house on the market on Monday so we'll need to be OUT OF THE HOUSE as much as possible (for cleaning purposes ).

That's hilarious. Seriously hilarious. It first made me smile when you said that the baby likes brownies (I've used that many times!), and then I really smiled when I read Connor's comment.

He's a keeper!
