As anxious as I was to have the baby and not be pregnant anymore, I was really not wanting to have the baby on Ellie's birthday. Luckily, it worked out that we were able to get through her birthday without any excitement that day. I'll now have 2 days in between birthdays, so we'll get a little respite from birthday cake. :) Since I was so close to my due date, we didn't plan much. Luckily, Ellie had said that she wanted chicken nuggets for her birthday dinner- so off we headed to McDonald's. Mom didn't have to cook, Ellie got her nuggets, and the kids got to run around in the play place. Fantastic!
I did make a cake- thanks to my friend Jen who gave me this simple cake idea and lent me her pans. :)
Ellie got a baby set from mom and dad- so she'd have her own baby to play with instead of bothering our baby all the time. Hasn't quite worked, but she has enjoyed playing with her baby- that she named "Hadita". Good thing she wasn't in charge of naming Mason.
I needed a project the week before the baby came. I was running out of things to clean, so I actually made a craft. I saw these cute pumpkins on this blog, and decided to give 'em a try. I thought they turned out pretty cute myself. :)
