Extremely exciting activities. .

Alright, so maybe not really THAT exciting. But we have actually done some things as a family. It was a beautiful day last Saturday, so we decided to make a trip out to a pumpkin patch for a little family harvest fun. The kids loved riding in the wheelbarrow. I'm just glad they liked it, because it drastically cut down on the mud. :)
Our best attempt at a family picture. I'm just glad we're all looking in the same direction with our eyes open.
Anyone who knows Connor knows how much he loves dogs. He's always telling me about what kind of dog he wants (currently a bulldog, but last week it was a Dalmatian), how old he'll be when he gets a dog (7, when we [cross our fingers] will have a house), what he's going to do to play with/take care of his dog, what he's going to name his dog, what kind of doggie accessories we're going to get, etc, etc. The farm where the pumpkin patch was held had some puppies that were out so people could pet them. He was in heaven.

Ells' mess of the week (one of the many). I guess she was worried about getting lost between the table and the kitchen, so she had to leave a trail of Mac & Cheese to help her find her way back. Grrr..
On Saturday the kids and I made a trip downtown with one of our neighbors whose husband was also spending the day studying. We went to the big Old Navy, and then made our way down to Pike's. Connor loved watching the fish throwers and seeing the famous Rachel the pig.
This is how Princess Ellie enjoyed much of her trip.

Last night Jake and I got to go see Gladys Knight and the Saints United Voices , who were in town for 4 firesides. We were sitting right by a walkway, and Gladys herself actually walked right by us. It was a really fun, inspiring evening. She's really put together a great missionary program. If you ever have the chance to go and take a non-member, do it.

My Half Marathon is next week. I'm excited for it to be over. I didn't realize how big of a time commitment training was!!

I didn't realize you were running a half marathon Abby, though you probably mentioned it on this blog & I just forgot. That's awesome. I hope it goes well. Good luck.

I really like your fam pic. I think it's very cute and outdoorsy without looking too posed! Fun times!
